McBurney Manor Bed and Breakfast

General information

McBurney Manor is found in the small village of McAlevy’s Fort, PA amidst the beautiful rolling hills of Stone Valley. Built in 1842 this bed and breakfast still retains it’s over 160-year-old charm and ambience as it is nestled between these nearby communities of bustling college campuses, and lively agrarian fields. In making a few modern improvements for guests’ comfort, the character of the house has not been compromised. The rooms are uniquely decorated to accent the antique tastes of the house. A room with a queen-size bed has a lovely fireplace, while twin beds occupy the room across the hall. A newly installed modern bathroom is shared by the guests. Greenwood Furnace and Whipples Dam State Parks are just minutes away and Raystown Dam is only 30 minutes to the south. State College, home of the Penn State Nittany Lions is 20 minutes to the north of us and Big Valley, a quaint Amish community, is a 15-minute drive to the east. A visit to McBurney Manor and it surroundings will take you back to a slower pace to help you unwind. A full delicious country breakfast is served each morning. The manor is available for special events such as weddings, rehearsal dinners, tea parties, Bake House Gatherings for pizza and other specialties baked in our masonry oven. We will do our best to create a relaxing atmosphere for your enjoyable gathering.
